First time in. What you will see
The first thing that opens is the login page. No landing page, no banner carousel, no scroll of categories before you sign in. Onion markets tend to open with the door rather than the brochure, and a first visit that starts with a login form is the correct one. If your first screen is anything else, the address deserves a second look before anything else does.
Registering
Pick a username
One that does not identify you. No name, no handle you use anywhere else, nothing you have ever attached to your face. You will see this string on every order you place.
Attach the recovery email
The dedicated one, per the security setup. Registration does not work without an email, and recovery does not work without it either.
Set the password
Long, unique to the market, typed by hand the first time so you know it seated correctly.
Turn on 2FA before money moves
After registration, before your first deposit. Reversing that order is how a fresh account with a fresh balance meets a stranger.
The wallet
Your account has a wallet inside the market. You deposit to the address it shows you, and the balance appears after the network confirmations the market requires. Top up in small amounts at first: a modest first deposit teaches you the deposit flow, the confirmation wait, and the withdrawal flow, and the total at stake while you learn is an amount you can write off as tuition.
Inside the interface
Search and categories up top. Vendor pages carry ratings and a public order history, and that history is the entire credit system: a long list of closed, reviewed orders is what "reputable" means here, in place of any badge. The cart behaves like a cart. Your account menu holds the wallet, order history, and the support thread where problems get argued out, with the evidence you posted.
Escrow, the part to actually understand
At checkout your payment moves from your wallet into escrow. The vendor ships, tracking or proof of delivery lands in the order, and you confirm receipt, which releases the money. Confirm early and you have paid for something not yet in hand. Confirming is yours to give; do not hand it to a "customer support" message that arrives in chat and sounds urgent.
Make one cheap order first. One small, low-stakes order runs the whole loop, order, delivery, confirm, review, at a price that costs nothing to lose. The loop is the same for a 30 unit order and a 3000 unit one.
